I've been really busy over the past week, so I havn't had as much time as expected to work on this. But I did want to get a small update out there. Finished the hardpoints diffuse map, still need to make bump and specs. I'm going to move onto the Paveway next.

Progress is slow but steady. I still have a couple of little knick nacks here and there to finish the "red" UV Patch.

Just making sure, but you do know that in the second render (from the back) all the text is mirrored.

Besides that, it's looking pretty convincing.

Hey man,

This is really coming along nicely! I think your getting to a point were a few imperfections might help the realism. Like subtle bulging around rivets, depressions in the skin, and some minor rust and scratches. The ones that they use in Afganistan and Pakistan look pretty dirty.

Thanks! Good catch on the mirrored text. Since it is the other side and the UV's are mirror I forgot to flip the map.

I've been trying to add some imperfections but maybe I need more. I like the ideas of some subtle bulging around the rivets and depressions in the skin (will try to tackle this in a normal map). I was trying not to put any rust on it, I didn't want to take the grunge that far, but I will try to find some more reference of the ones that are currently in service to compare as that is what I'm going for. Thanks for the input!

I dialed in a couple of the smaller shaders, added the bump map, AO pass and started adding procedurals to the wing. I still need to add bulging around rivets/subtle depressions in the skin and some more minor scratches + rust. After that I am going to finish the wing (Yellow UV Patch), for the wing I want to try a much more procedural approach to try and save some time.
