vray+max lighting liquids


I wanted to create a simple scene: before a black background there is a plane, and on this plane a bottle with some white wine, the only light source is right under the bottle. I wanted to illuminate the wine with this only light, as if I had put a flashlight under a bottle of liquid in real life. Unfortunately, what I had in my mind I could achieve only with some tricks, without which the scene setup did not work: There were nice reflections in the glass, but the liquid stayed black. I tried several material settings, and FastSSS materials in vain. I wonder what ways are there to simulate the real life light scattering behaviour of liquids? Is it a question of configuring a type of material? Or is there some other material for this purpose?
