Scripting a maze
Hi, this is my first time posting here and hopefully not the last!
What i am looking to do is to procedurally create a maze via scripting in Maya.
I have looked at many sites about maze algorithms; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maze_generation_algorithm
Prims being the method i would like.
But i have no idea where to start , i have a bit of knowlegde of scripting but i cannot seem to translate this method into Maya.
So what im looking for is someone to tell me how they think this should be done, i'm not looking for script, just theory.
I am thinking that i create a polyPlane and extrude the subdivisions to create walls. Then compare the square next to it to see if it has 4 walls.

My first thought would be to figure out how to build the maze by drawing 1 degree splines. At that point there are a few options:
A) Extrude each one in Y
B) Extrude a pgon along each one
C) Place geometry along them.
... I'm sure there are more
If animation couldn't change the world, it wouldn't be such a Micky-Mouse place.
