Gentleman, Laverdet (2D)

Title: Gentleman
Name: Laverdet
Country: France
Software: Photoshop

Hello!... I've painted a lot of "rockwellians" like pictures, for advertising, in traditional oil... in fact, I've always been amazed by trhe incredible brushstroke of Rockwell, and have seeen a lot of original paintin,gs from him... well, a fan!... when I went, there is 2 years, at painting on computers, the first thing I've tried is to get the same brushwork that in trad oils... that sketch is from that period, and try to have the "sticky and nervous" stroke, associated with oils...hope You like!... amitiés.

thank you, pml... just to compare, a rockwellian advertising for "future mother" , I've painted there is 3 years... classic oils... the stroke is more precise than in digital, but pinting the flower clothes would be much more easier on a computer!...

Good painting!
I like Norman Rockwell too!
I think that trad oil is decorated with many things to deserve study.
