Forest Scene one, Nathan Jones (3D)

Title: Forest Scene one
Name: Nathan Jones
Country: Australia
Software: After Effects, Maya, mental ray

After watching some wonderful tutorials by Alex Alvarez on creating plants in Maya's paint effects and rendering them in mental ray I figured I'd have some fun and create some of the plants I see in Sydney when bush walking.

Thanks in advanced for the answer

Hi Pitipongp.

Thanks for the kind words. your stuff is great as well. I especially like "The unknown place".

I have a habit of walking through this place every day. I love it.

I spent a few hours taking photos of plants and leaves. I then made a library of plants using paint effects which I instanced randomly along the path.

Basically this the product of watching Alex Alvarez plant tuts and playing along. I used all the techniques he describes.

Here are some screen shots...
