Btw. if someone's considering a switch to modo because of the recent Autodesk move to rental, I'd suggest watching the new Modo 11 newsvid where they present the introduction of the rental subscription model as the best thing since sliced bread.

That and the fact that Modo fails to import, let alone navigate an FBX from Revit. Max imports and offers okay navigation on a pretty large model. We killed Modo after it ran over night and never came back. They may tell you that they are looking to target design visualization, but they have no idea how to handle massive data sets. I gave there rep some ideas like an FBX option to convert instances to replicators to give better performance, but nothing so far.

Massive data sets is my guess on why Project Bunsen is in the works. Modo can't do it so let's throw Katana technology at it.
