How to save!?

Hi, I'm new to zbrush since a couple of days, but fairly accustomed to 3D in general. But one thing I can't find nor figure out, is a simple thing as saving.
Now I know that you can save tools, documents, files, exporting alphas etc. But when I do either one of them, zbrush gets restored to all of its default settings, with only the tool I was working on saved. So every time I open up a project, I have to re-import brushes, change my user preferences and so on and so forth.

So how to simply save a project file which will let me, literally continue were I left off? Because I'm sure zbrush has this, just can't find any info about it.

Thanks

(oh and I'm sitting on a windows 7 64 bit and zbrush 4R2 if that helps)

ctrl+s to save project if you want to save what you're working as is. Or go to document\save as and just keep overwriting or name it something new. So basically you need to save the project instead of tool.

I think we all go through this one at first.

Yeah I know, ctrl+s was the first thing I tried, before I even knew you could save individual tools for example :P

But that still forces me to re-import brushes, dock everything over to its right place, removing the right-click menu etc. It feels like there should be a way to save these settings, otherwise it's almost unnecessary to have the option of customising ones UI.

But thanks again

Oh sorry, what you want to do is
1. Go to Preferences/Config/Enable Customize
2. Set your UI however you want.
3. Click Enable Customize again to deactivate it then Save UI

Overwrite what you have or create a new name for the new UI.

I hope that helps.
