We just released a new plugin: BlackStar Glare

It's a Post Effect filter for Glare Effects (quite easy to guess, i know ) with some nice features to give your images the final touch.

have a look here for some more infos and Demo download links:

Looks nice.
Question: would it be possible to make it work AFTER the render instead of being the usual post effect you can't tweak unless you render the pic again?

Yes it is a nice little plugin. I have it and it works ok. Need to put it to the test some more but what I've seen so far is nice.

Peace,
Rich_Art.

Looks interesting, can I ask, what this offers uniquely over the standard Glow post effect?

cheers

The Glare plugin recreates a typical post-production workflow to create its result. The simple interface with an interactive preview helps you to achieve the desired effect very fast. With the "Clipping" setting you can easily target areas of a specific minimum brightness. And the "Expand" functions allows you to increase the size of the glare effect. Also you can create blurred shadows in the same step so both effects won't influence each other.

@ThirdEye:
We're looking into this, i think we can add that to the next version

I mean you can already take your Preview concept and utilize the same sort of functionality that the color post effect has where you can edit it post render in the picture viewer and then send those settings back to the post effect.
