Typography Video

Is there any tutorials out there tha allow me to create typography vidoes like this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAXE3JANcsU

The main things that I want to do is where the lines extend then move to reveal the text.

Thanks a lot

Can you give us a time in the video in which you are referring?

The first thing that I am referring to is at around 7 seconds when 'anywhere' is revealed, I think I have figured it out, do I use masks? There is also one at about 36 seconds when the word 'we' is revealed, is this just a linear wipe and a mask?

There are a few different ways you can create the effect at 7seconds. It looks like they have a red solid that they animate on, and then that lines animates down and reveals the text. You could use a mask, you could use a Effect>Transition>Linear Wipe, or you could even use a track matte. Depending how complex a project you are making I would opt for the linear wipe but there are benefits to each one just depends what you are trying to do on a larger scale.

The same effect is applied to the we at :36 as well. They wipe on the slash and after it is on screen they animate it over and it reveals the We. You can use the same effects as above. There isn't a right or wrong way to get it as long as it works for what you are doing. Does this help you out?
