One-click centered spline creation in tubular geometry?

Hi all,

does anybody know a quick workflow to create a spline centered inside tubular geometry ie a winding pipe that changes diameter from wide to narrow, from one end to the other, ideally with one click?

Cheers!

I can't think of anything that does it automatically, but if you needed to get that spline that goes down the center, you could cut the pipe in half, and then bridge the two sides and then run a loop down the center and create a shape from that.

That's exactly what I want to get, "that spline that goes down the center"! This is a great suggestion for geo that is more or less symmetrical in diameter and has the same number of edges on both sides. I never would have thought of doing that. Thank you very much!

Cheers!

I tried the manual "trick" and the script out yesterday. The script does just what I need in most cases. For those cases that it doesn't work for some reason, darthviper107's manual trick will be a great substitute. Thank you both very much again for your help.

Cheers!
