Adjust an element's pivot.

I am wondering if it is possible to adjust the pivot of elements in an object? I wish to animate some of an object's elements but the pivot remains central, using the Hierarchy's adjust pivot only allows me to adjust the object's pivot.

Any help is appreciated (:

You can, sort of. I don't think it'll be a permanent change though.
If you set up some point helpers where you want the pivots to be, you can use the 'pick' option in the 'reference coordinate system' drop down and select the relevant point helper before you rotate the element. Make sure the pivot is set to 'centre' ( the first option in that drop down ).

Hope that makes sense...
