That was pretty good for a short. Also very nice vfx work from mikros. Loved the "bigdog" bot.
They should definitely do more stuff like this

Wait a minute!

It says "produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures" with vfx by Mikros. To what extent is Ubisoft actually "producing"?

I mean are they actually the guys making the picture? Or is this just a licensing/cheque-signing office?

I believe Ubisoft bought Hybrid a while ago so they are making these live action shorts in house. Assasins Creed had some as well.

I believe it simply means Ubisoft retains creative control over everything, being their franchise and all, and might also be handling location scouting, renting of equipment, actual shooting, etc, while Mikros handled post production.
Which is curious, since they externalized the vfx to a 3rd party...and not their own in house studios (uda & hybride). Maybe they were too busy...maybe too pricey.
PS. they also have their digital arts division, which handles cinematics, short film and feature vfx (they shared work on predators with hybride).

I usually dislike it when game company's release real life videos to promote their games, but I really enjoyed that.

However.....

WTF?

American specops heroes take out shady Russian villains....

How much more clicheed can you get?

That's been the main plot of at least 5 - 8 FPS shooter games in the last years.
