Unhappy Controlling hard surface objects [duplicated]

Hello, everyone.

--This post seems to be duplicated. I'm looking for a way to delete it. Apologies.--

I am trying to sculpt hard surfaces, in specific objects that are not attached to surfaces, like hanging chains, shoelaces, knots, belts. (this stuff we must bend without stretching).

I am trying to tame IMM brushes. But it's troublesome the way the curves behave, it's not as predictable as I though. Though using retopo tools could work, but no help.

May I Ask some advice?

Thanks,
