Environment in AE

Hello there.

I'm shooting a short film in chroma screen. I'm shooting the characters and I want to add some 3d environment in the post. I'll track the shots but rendering the whole sequence in 3d will take a long time. SO, I decided about rendering the environment from some angles (eg horizontally 0, 20, 40, 60, 80---180 degrees) and use the panning technique in after effects camera. But my camera in the shooting would not only just pan, they might make rotational movement or other positioning also.
One imp thing is my env is static.

So, my question is, is it possible to create an spherical or hemispherical env in after effects? (eg using a cc sphere, texturize the inner part and adding one ground plane). I want to render one 360degree panorama from 3d then add it to that sphere.

Or, is there any other better way to do this? I want to simplify my 3d environment so that i dont have to render all the frames.

Help is appreciated.

Import your shots, place them into a comp, mark them as 3d layers and arrange them manually into some kind of dome.

There are scripts available for that task, so far I haven't found a free one yet.
