3ds max 2018- Simple Model Texture Alighnment Problem

hi I have this model I'm making.

As you can see its very basic. I have the uv's all straightend out and still I'm getting this texture warping. Any help would be appreciated. I'm quite new to this. Thanks

It looks as though your UVs are scaled up too large and it's causing issues with the 0-1. There's a couple things you can try.
1. Select your UVs and uniform scale them into the 0-1 texture space.
2. Increase the UV tiling in the bitmap node.

Does it also warp when rendered?

hi, yes it does. I'm actually exporting it to Fbx and using it in the unreal 4 engine

I have had this a few times, seems to be random unhelpfully.

I was able to solve it by adding edge loops through the affected polys.

good luck.

One quick note about your UV's is that you don't need that UV seam on the top UV island. Just select that circle of polygons and hit planar map (not really important just a note).

Also I'd recommend selecting all the islands, then in the UV editor go to Tools-> pack (and make sure normalise checkbox is ticked). This will make your UV islands the right size. Then if it still looks strange, select the UV island that goes round the shape and use Tools->Relax->Polygon Angles. As it's a simple mesh Max should sort it out for you.
