Massfx help

Im trying to animate a spinning top. At one point in the animation, the spinning top collapses and begins to roll a bit. I've tried to accomplish this roll with massfx, but I cant seem to get the results I want, although Im sure its capable of it.

Here is a video of what I got:

The top seems to stop spinning fairly quickly after massfx takes control (the initial spin is keyframed) and just plops on the floor. How can I get it to roll a bit and slowly expend that energy? Any help will be appreciated.

Firstly, you might want to try a different method of spinning. I'm thinking linking some verts to a spinning dummy then breaking the link.
It also seems to be rather heavy, you should reduce the mass.

shit my mistake there.

you want the initial spin controls. Z at 10 or something and slight offset of Y or X at 0.1 so it eventually falls and speed to 800.

you want to make sure of is to make the pin slightly oblong otherwise it'll topple right away.
