MachineFlesh DJ

The year is two thousand, ninety.. um… something. With the rise of electronic music and the fall of “actual music” the need for musical performers dwindled, and the mechanical dj was born.. For record companies this was ideal; for they now had a monopoly on the entire music industry. No longer having to deal with temperamental human musicians ment 24 hour parties 365 days a year with a single, entirely self sufficient and reliable performer. Not to mention these robotic djs far surpassed their fleshy counterparts in terms of technical skill and would often be seen mixing up to ten records seamlessly.

In 2095 a Chicago based former human Drum and Bass Dj who had fallen from fame with the rize of the machines signed a contract with MachineFlesh corperation to do an experimental procedure fusing his flesh with high end robotics, sound gear and life support, creating the first dj hybrid. Fully capable of artistic decision making, able to keep up with the modern dj mechs and the increasing demands of the hordes of 24 hour party people. And most importantly, his own free agent, as opposed to being the property of the greedy record companies.
