Thumbs up

It looks really cool. I can see how it was inspired by Hawaii. Are the fish kites living in the tree? Did someone put them there? or are they all of the kites that have gotten lost and stuck in the tree over the years? This makes for a cool scene and I'm sure would go great with a story for a narrative. The tree climber looks like he or she has a large shrimp next to them (a closer look shows another kite; but it was hard to tell at first). You did a great job with natural twisting elements of the tree and foliage, and your color choices were spot on (even the water and the reflected light and colors work well). Overall, this was a very successful piece). Keep it up. Great job.

I really like this a lot! I love how it initially appears to be really surreal, with flying fish, and then you look closer and realise they're kites. But even then, kites really fly in this environment? So maybe it's surreal after all :-) I also like the fact that it took me a moment to spot the human figure.

Cool work.

Sorry for the late replies - but thanks very much both of you!

One of the top things on my need-to-improve list is narrative(or at least the feel of a narrative going on) so I'm happy it makes you ask some questions lina!

Thanks leigh! I love pieces that are a little confusing like that (:
