Mapping Material Values with XPresso

I am doing some work with Sketch and Toon, and I am trying to find a way to use a greyscale image to control the Line Offset value for cloned strokes. Unlike other attributes in the sketch material (Thickness, Opacity, etc), the Clone settings have no option to use a texture map for control. Is there a way to drive the Line Offset value with a texture using XPresso, so that areas such as hands and face could have a tighter offset value, while areas like arms and chest could have a broader offset?

it is not possible, as this would require the mapping being implemented in the ST-material
for the clone offset. which is not the case as you said yourself.
