ZBrush looks good on a big monitor :)

My Dad got me a used 27" monitor from work today. They are upgrading to 30" and gave the "old" ones (yeah like only 18 months old) away to some of the staff.

I haveta say ZBrush looks good on 27".

Well ... yes? ... so?
Do you expect a discussion about your theory of things looking good on a big screen?

Ah yes, the youthful excitement of a freebie that needs to be shown off. Well done junior.

Btw, whats that you are working on? Looks like Oliver Hardy.

The rate at which parts get replaced at some places is astonishing. I have benefited from it myself over the years thanks to the wastefulness of the public sector here in the UK and an acquaintance who worked on a render farm.

Is a jump from 27 to 30 " truly worth that wastage?

Apart from that, good for you!! More screen space is always welcome.

I've seen perfectly good workstations, hard drives and other items with plenty of life left in them, scrapped when they could have been given to employees. Things that could have brought a bit of usefulness or pleasure to a family member. It galls me to see stuff destroyed like that.

Yeah its an Ollie, don't even talk to me about it. It started off well, but is probably turning into another abandoned project I think, as unforseen difficulties keep coming up.

You know the old saying; If at first you don't succeed, give up.
