2013 Springs

Hi all, if someone could help me this I'd be forever grateful! I've made a camera rig in Max 2013 using a spring and a few other constraints. If I scrub the timeline it 'kind of' works, it looks quite smooth. If I press play in real time it acts quite differently. Also If I do anything else in the scene the spring becomes very unstable, and I have to constantly 'reset' the spring by changing it's values and then changing them back. This seems to shock it into behaving, at least until the next time I do anything.

The even stranger thing is that if I open it in Max 2012 it runs perfectly and smoothly every single time. I've also tried this on a couple of my friends machines, and the same results. Max 2012 runs it fine, 2013 looks terrible.

I've looked online but cannot find any reference to springs acting up in 2013 specifically. I've attached a zip containing the scene, it's saved back to 2012 version so should open in either.

Thanks a lot in advance!

has anybody downloaded the scene and tested it? Would be great to know if other people have issues with the spring flipping out in Max 2013.
