Soft bodies

Hello all

I've been trying to figure out softbodies lately and I understand the basis how to get it going, but everyone i ask and all the tutorials i use keep falling short. I do exactly what they say and i'm still getting nothing.
Does anyone know a good tutorial or have a method they wouldn't mind explaining.
I'm trying to use it for a character I did up, my little slug dog
check him out

thanks for any help

Hey there,

Well, it all depends on what you want to do with him. Have you seen this tutorial?

I haven't gone through it, but it looks very similar to what you may be wanting to achieve.

Hope it helps a bit.

hey

Hey lost
Ya but I've checked that one out but its just way to general for me. I'm just learning maya so I was wondering if anyone had done up a tutorial about soft bodies that catered more towards newbies or if anyone had any good tips.
thanks

Ok. So have you rigged your character in the regular way already (before the softbody is applied), or are you struggling with that part as well?

ge

I haven't rigged him yet, I'm not having trouble with that, its just getting the spline ik to behave properly after making it a soft body. I'm not sure which attributes i should be changing in the component editor and what results i'll get after i change it
