Attaching two separate curves

I was wondering, is it possible in Maya to join together two curves without them connecting?

I don't think it is possible with default tools, just wondering if there is a hack or workaround solution to only have one node for the two separate shapes.

Not sure what you mean exactly. Do you just want to group them so that they share a transform and can be moved as one?

[Edit] And after reading your post for real :-), I see that you do want it to be one node. Don't think you can put two curves in one curve shape...

Yeah, I'm using curves as a distribution point for VRayScatter. In 3DS Max, one can combine multiple splines into a single "object". (You can see them press "Attach" multiple times)

I was wondering if this was at all possible with Maya's curves.

Perhaps I'll add this to the feedback site.
