I can do a fairly decent stroy board, so in wanting to expand my own skills and talents, I am going to put in for this as well. =)

Research

Research first.. The more I learn about it I will post here.

Eon

Events in Eon take place around the year 2000 (in an alternate timeline from our own), when the USA and USSR are on the verge of nuclear war. In that tense political climate an asteroid appears out of near space after an unusual supernova and settles into near Earth orbit at L5. The two nations each try to claim this mysterious object which turns out to have been hollowed out, terraformed, and filled with cities that now sit empty by human beings who seemed to come from Earth's future. A team of scientists discovers the asteroid is bigger inside than outside and in particular the last chamber seems to stretch into infinity. An expedition is sent down the final chamber where it will meet humanity's descendants.
The human inhabitants of the Way come from an alternate universe, set approximately 800 years in the future. In their timeline, human civilization was nearly destroyed by the "Death", a calamitous World War involving nuclear weapons. The humans living in the Way are loosely divided into two social groups, based on cultural and political viewpoints: the conservative Naderites, who reject much of the high technology trappings of their society for a simpler life; and the futuristic Geshels, who embrace such technological advances as artificial bodies. A minor character's joke that "someone should tell Ralph about the Naderites" turns out to be an accurate prediction: the Naderites follow the humanistic teachings of Ralph Nader, whom they call "the Good Man."

The high technology of this civilization with their control over genetic engineering, human augmentation, and matter itself are some of the main points of interest here. Several alien species have come to live with humanity's descendants who are themselves at war with an alien race known as the Jarts from further down the corridor still.

Thanks!

Just doing my intial research at the moment. I was able to go out to the local book seller and pick up a copy of the book. However there is a inspiration link up now at:

http://features.cgsociety.org/chall....php#Alexandria

This is useful as well. Lots of ideas. Going to try and get some of these down as before they start to escape me. =)

The Books not too bad at all, lots of ideas in the book as well. I am a little over half way done with it. Started reading it yesterday afternoon. Books have this habit of sucking down all my attention till I finish them. I also picked up a book on Norsemyth and Legends. Wondering how much I can work into the 3D scene as I do this too... =)

As I read through it, I am taking some mental snap shots for scenes and such. Thinking about what would make the most dramatic eye catchers and thought provokers. You can also get hte book in E-format as well.

So is it e-written somewhere?...mmh...maybe difficult to read it in english but better than nothing.....if my goal was to make a picture...ok...the material i got now about the story may be enought, but making a movie trailer, well,mh,gosh, i need a deeper knowledge about the entire story! i fear a bit the "full immersion" effect, while i read a book!!! i feel the same way of you!! cat stop reading till the end of the story!

Take a look at Abebooks.com they do searches for books in italy. I am not familar with the italian side of amazon or ebooks and such. However if you poke around for a bit you might find a good resource for ebooks or for enexpensive books local to you.

in fact here is Eon in Italiano

Alright. I just finished the book this afternoon. I have some ideas floating around in my head, however I don't know if its the allergy meds or something else. =)

Hope to get some sketches up tomorrow.

Rough Storyboards or 3D pre-visualization: Storyboard Roughs

This is my first rough for the story board. I do like how this is pacing out. I will be doing a more fleshed out board. But I wanted to show the whole sequence in under 6 panels. For the basics. Of course what you are not seeing is dialouge which I do plan on putting in at a later time.
