Question Model Skinning

Greetings everyone!

I have a couple general questions about the skinning process. I'm helping my friend make a game and my job is to create and animate a character model. I decided to go the route of skinning before rigging since the Autodesk Tutorials recommended doing it in that order. Anyways, my questions are...

Can I go back and add a basic animation to the character without being concerned about losing the skinning that I have already completed? I forgot a very important one for the shoulder.

Can I go back and alter the model or the bones in any way? I don't need to. I was just wondering if it would hurt anything.

Any answers you have would be greatly appreciated.

Brave

I'm sorry if this wastes anyone's time but I figured it out. I decided to get brave a try it. It turns out that both of the things that I asked about can be done.
