Convert Polygons to Nurbs --> UV setting


In 3ds max I've modeled a simple chair using Sub-D method and unwrap it. It is a polygon model, but, thanks to its nature, it could be easily converted to a Nurbs Object (reverse enginering).

Take a look to it:

The model is very good in the nurbs version, but the problem are UV coordinates, it loses the polygon original one and deforme it.

I'm not a "nurbs" user and I don't know a lot about Unwrap and texturing of nurbs object. Which is the fastest and easiest way to fix it?
