Help about Bercon Maps

greetings programs,

I've been poking about with Bercon Maps and I'm afraid I've found a huge bug. I've emailed Jerry, but from all indications, he is no longer active.

The bug exists in Bercon Gradient. Whenever I try to enter in the position of a key on the gradient interface using the spinner, 3ds Max crashes to desktop. I'm currently using 3ds Max 2012-64bit on Windows 7-64bit.

I do not have access to the SDK, and even if I did, I would have no idea what I am doing. Therefor, I humbly ask someone in the community for help on this?

It is worth noting, too, that I have downloaded the most recent version of BerconMaps (v3.03) but the rollout says v3.01 - is v3.01 for 2012 functionally the same as v3.03 for 2013?

Bercon gradient has always been buggy for me. I found that if I disconnected the gradient node from whatever it's connected to, I can edit without a crash, then plug it back in. Can you confirm this does not work for you?

I'm afraid 3ds Max crashes if the map is connected to another node or not.

I've tried switching out my renderer to scanline ( on the thought that the preview might be breaking things ) - no change.

At this point, I'm going to start using a gradient ramp mapped to the bercon gradient, do the color through the gradient ramp, and do all the parameter stuff through bercon gradient.
