maya normal mapping for a bump3d node

learning shading.
is it possible to do a shading network that gives normal mapping on a bump3d node,
the bump 2d node has a tangent space option built in, the bump3d node has not got the option,
trying to normal map a triplanar projection if possible.

hello i think it's too late for answer but... maby somone will need it

replace you projected image(file node) by bump2d and connect image to it then just drag you projection to you material bump placement it automaticaly created bump3d..

image(file) (out alpha) -- (bump value) bump2d (out normal) -- (image) projection (out alpha) -- (bump value) bump3d (out normal) -- (standart bump) mia_material_x

-- (input) node (output) --
-- connection
and all will works

maybe it's to complicatet than it must be =)
