Twisted Forms, Chad Voss (3D)

Title: Twisted Forms
Name: Chad Voss
Country: United States
Software: Maya, Photoshop

This piece seeks to apply a little Bauhaus theory to the medium of 3d. It takes inspiration from japanese wave art and from nature. I am very familiar with Maya and Mental Ray, so please do not critique the lack of complexity in rendering and modeling- that was intentional. Let me know if the composition, lighting, or color could be enhanced.

nice!
shapes remind me on a spooky dark forest with full moon up in the sky
with this colors its more like withered wood in the desert... try to do more like this. it's a nice style. also good for placing characters in there

wow! I really like. I'm usually not into this kind of 3d art, but I think you did a great job! I love the textures, and I love the implied motion. I think a little more contrast would be cool, but thats just me. Keep it up! I love this piece.
