Skecthup Model Unable To Rig In Maya
HI ITS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT RIGGING MODEL IN MAYA....I DOWNLOADED A SKECTHUP CHARACTER MODEL OF GOKU from Google 3D Warehouse >>
i exported this model as an .obj file and imported it to MAYA 2008, smoothed its mesh n all
made a skeleton inside it ....but when i Smooth bind it with the skeleton,
it binds...but when i rotate the shoulders the skin doesn't rotate or animates with the action...
what am i doing wrong.... I made the skeleton step by step with each and every step....rerooting the hands, spine legs to the HIPS point. Is the SKECTHUP MODEL not good for rigging in maya, then how to find out whether its a correct model.....or what type of Mesh polygon model should i take to rig it in MAYA.....????
PS how can we make a SKECTHUP MODEL Rig friendly to RIG in MAYA
