Animation Exported In Wrl

Hi everyone,
I'm facing a terrible pain as i need to export an animated character (with rigs and everything) onto WRL format for future use in OpenGL.
What's happening is that I have my character, but no animation in OpenGL.
And as I reimport the .wrl in C4D -for checking-, I can see that some points animated, but not the mesh. My rigs turned into points and these points are moving, but independently of my character.
Do you see what I mean?
Could someone please give me some advices?
thank you very much.

(I also tried baking all the meshes so that I won't have any rigs, but then there is absolutely NO animation at all...)

I've never exported to that format- but have you tried baking keys on all the characters joints?

Thank you very much for your answer Ryonosuke11.
Yeah, WRML don't support rigging. So I already tried baking.
By the way I baked to PLA using steadyBake plugin (which makes it really easy).
I end up having my geometry animated points by points in my C4D file. Until there it looks fine.
But as I export in wrl (I check " store animation"). Then I reopen the WRL in C4D (just to check), the animation is not there anymore.. Strange issue isnt it ?

I read that C4D doesn't export the animations through WRL.
I found that a bit strange. SO I thought that I should export it in animated wrl with another software.
I tried going to 3DS using fbx from C4D and I don't have my animation neither...
any help please?
This is a real pain...

Alembic is the only format that will export PLA from C4D.
FBX should be able to export joints with animation and weighting, though.

Yeah, right, C4D R14 has better fbx export, it now support PLA.
But i still cannot manage to export my PLA animation in wrl...

Because it's not supported. WRL is a very old format, Maxon hasn't updated it in a while.
So, use Alembic (or FBX) to export your PLA into another software which will allow for a WRL export with PLA.

Well I just tried using 3DSMax and Maya for exporting, and i have no result.
i looked in the documentation for vrml export in 3DSmax, it says you just have to check the "Coordinate interpolator" for animated meshes. And it doesn't look like working...
