5 fps animation in after effects

I got a sequence of images.

the images rendered as 5 fps from the 3d app.

How to import and export the frames in a way they will save the right time? (42 secs)
if I create new composition and set the fps to 5, it create the sequence as 7 secs instead of 42. (212 frames).

how to fix this?

After effects cs4.

Before creating the composition you should right-click the imported image sequence in the project window and select "Interpret footage", where you can set it to 5 fps. Then you can drag-and-drop it onto the composition icon to create a composition of the same length and speed.
