Tuna Tornado Swarm

Hello,

I'm desparately trying to create a tuna tornado swarm of fish using PFlow.

All I want is for about 800 fish to move in a circular horizontal motion inside of a volume, which has a hole in it. Imagine a torus scaled to 1000% in the Z-Axis.

I tried using the motor but that's not a desired effect. I also thought of the Vortex but despite no pull effect the fish starts to shoot out after reaching a specific velocity.
I just want them to move in a circular motion inside a specific volume.

What would alos do the trick is a circle path and the fish get offset in the z-direction.

Any suggestions?

Simple solution without too much control:
1) create tube and spawn particles inside (use Position object with Volume option)
2) add Speed by icon, enable Use Icon Orientation and animate rotation of this icon around Z axis (use expression controller for Z rotation for example)
3) if you have particles escaping the tube increase Accel limit. Add speed variation to have motion more diverse.

that's it.

That could indeed be a solution. I'll try it and report back! Thanks!

So this approach worked very well except for one thing:

The whole Cone in which the particles spawn and move is parented to an animated helper moving across space in a kind of fast speed.
Although I parented the whole shebang (PF Source, Orientation-Icon, Cone etc) to that helper the particles still see it as if the Orientation Icon is moving away and they try to follow.

Is there a way I can force those particle calculations to be done in parent space rather than (apparently) world space?

EDIT:
Tried it with a Mesher now, seems to work, but this is not my preffered way - is there a better way?
