UV Mapping

so, UV mapping is not my strong point, its one of those skills that really holds me back.

Im trying to get a simple obelisk UV mapped and could use some help. Basically, I want each 'side' (not face) to be in a region, side by side, with the bottom square (the bottom of the obelisk) to be somewhere unimportant. I am thinking, there are 4 primary edges to this thing. I tried marking each one a seam and using LCSM/Planar/Region etc but Im not getting discrete sections.

Could someone offer a hand here and walk me through this very basic task?

EDIT: I was able to get this working, UV is tricky, Silo's UV tools could use some tutorials, like, I didnt know 'create UVs from planar region worked on selected faces.. but I do now!

Here is what I got, not the greatest use of space, but it should be ok for now
