Using Arnold's Material ID pass to isolate parts of image

Hi, I am trying to incorporate a Maya to Arnold to Nuke workflow. Arnold has a AOV option to render out a 'Object ID' AOV where each object is assigned a unique color to isolate in compositing.

However in all the tutorials I saw, the color correct node (mask option), they only use Red , green or blue from an RGB pass to isolate objects for color correction or grading. This works for me, but as there are only 3 colors, I have to create seperate render layers if I want to tweak more objects than 3.

Does anyone know how to isolate and color correct/tweak individaul objects from a Object ID pass?
I've included the beauty and the ObjectID pass from a scene below, so if anyone knows how I can select the trees, it would be really helpful.

Thanks
Arnav

Hey, I tried it out, but it seems to need a Cryptomatte render pass (apparently available with the alshaders). However since I used the aistandard for this render, I can't seem to use this tool. Do you know any other tool or a built in functionality in nuke?

PS: I might use it for my next project since I'm moving to alshaders too, so thanks for the tip!

Sorry no, for the Solid Angle shaders I only know the r,g,b way like you mentioned.

Even if you have used aiStandard you can create a material override with alSurface and use the cryptomatte.

Thanks, good to know. Though now that development for alshaders has stopped and cryptomatte will be available for aistandard in the next version, the process has become more straightforward.

That would be great, had a lot of pain with setting this up, after I used aiStandard for everything. Maybe Arnold 5 will have some nice solutions too.
