About brusstrokes

Is there any option that make other subtools to NOT affect the brushstroke - like when they are hidden or you go into solo mode?
Sometimes I need to edit the surface that touches the other subtool and constantly switching solo mode on and off is pretty annoying.

down there are picture examples.

OTHER subtools dont get effected
if you want to select a subtool with out clicking it from the menu
just hoover over the object part and hold your ALT key down and select a part.

if you have no subtools BUT it has polygroups just ctrl+shift+click to select just that part

Oh really?
Well my problem is BRUSHSTROKE gets affected by another subtool.
IE - it bends away when passing by. Also move brush ometimes dont act at all, when you trying to pull the geometry that is under the surface of another subtool.
If i disable another subtool, brushstroke/move acts normally, but i cannot see the whole picture.

not quite sure what your saying ,
load demo Soldier as a example
then you drag on his leg making a bump then drag even higher on the vest does the vest get effected, its a separate subtool
make sure your on the subtool layer it can fool you thinking you are and your not, double click can cause it to be invisable
just hold the ALT key down and hoover over the part and click

Do you even read my posts? =_=
The
>>>>Brushstroke<<<<
acts differently
It's NOT affecting other subtool
it's affecting CURRENT subtool but does it DIFFERENTLY, when it's close enouth to another visible ,but not active subtool.

Do you even read my posts? =_= (i do but you dont explain)

>>>>Brushstroke<<<<
acts differently (what do you mean differently )
It's NOT affecting other subtool (its not going to effect other subtools unless your on that subtool layer)
it's affecting CURRENT subtool but does it DIFFERENTLY, when it's close enouth to another visible ,but not active subtool.
(when it get close ? how can you brush stroke when your close? you cant
you have to be on the object. to make a brush stroke)

make a video your not making sense,
its either me that doesn't understand you or no one else can because i dont see anyone else replying,
and the person who did reply you leave no comment on his help.

make a video or screen shot pointing to the problem,
let us know if your new to zbrush or not it will help

just to let you know on one of your post other subtools wont get effected by a brush stroke if you have MASK on,
is the object thats not effected a darker color?
you need to CLEAR Mask,
if you dont clear mask you can't draw on it or pull on it,
this all so goes for the subtool layer, if your not on that subtool layer you can't draw on it or pull on it

1 picture - i create a stroke
2 picture - i turn another subtool on, then ctrl+z and press "1" (that repeats the last action)
3 picture - the result of EXACTLY SAME stroke but affected by another subtool.
So once again - the question is - how to see another subtool but not get the strokes affected by it.

>its not going to effect other subtools unless your on that subtool layer
Where exactly i said i WANT another subtool to be affected?

by the looks of your pic there off set so no you wont get the same effect.
1 pm3D sphere then subtool duplicate
2 stroke sphere then leave the stoke to compare so no undo
3 select other subtool press 1 to repeat stroke

as long as there not off set the 2 sphere strokes will look the same,
now if you have 2 sphere and the edge flow are not the same or different polygon counts are not the same could make the stokes look different..

the 2 sphere has to be the same and not off set>subtool>duplicate

the pic with 2 images looks like one has mask on it, not sure what your trying to do there.

when you press 1 to repeat last stoke you cant click or move any thing on the canvas or it will be consider a stroke, just like pressing 1.
so make 1 stroke then select your other tool in the subtool menu and press 1 and thats it

Well thank you for correct, detailed, but absolutely unrelated to the topic answers.
I grew tired to explain that i DO NOT WANT another sphere to be affected.

then Mask the other object if you dont want it to be effected.
mask the hole object,

if it has its own separate subtool you CANT effect it, no mask is need then.

if you switch subtools and press 1 then stop doing it if you dont want it to be effected
