Couple of questions from a new user

Hi,
Love the forum i have been viewing it on and off for years now.

Just got myself a copy of cinema 4d and have a couple of questions on a project im working on.
The first is the background colour. I would like a nice bright blue colour but as my lights are effecting it the colour is really dull. Is there a way to stop it being effected by the lights so its the colour a choose?. The second question is i have about 5 shapes that have a extrude nurb on them and i would like to add a random effector to them. The problem is they all move together each way and i would like them to move apart from each other and then join up again in the way i have set them out. Is that possible?

Thanks for the ingo

For the lights, you can exclude objects from being effected by the light. Click on the light, go to the Project tab and put the objects that you don't want to be effected by the light in the list. Set the mode to Exclude.

You can put the extrude object into a Fracture object, set the mode to Explode Segments and Connect, then apply the random effector to the Fracture object.

Hi ingo,

for the first problem. look for the background object. and maybe but a compositing tag on your floor with background compositing switched on.

for the secound one:
put your objects under a fracture object. then you can affect the fracture by a random effector

best regards
Jops

Have you tried adding the Lum channel to the BG color ?
Have you tried coloring the light to "include" the BG ?

Any combo should work ... a stripped down file would be the best
as all we do is guess your intentions at this point.
