Has anyone tried Maya 2014s retopology tools?

Has anyone tried Maya 2014s retopology tools? I personally haven't and was wondering if the tool would replace 3rd party software like topogun (NOT asking for an argument about which is better I just want to know the differences). Id download the software trial myself but with summer school projects I dont have time to let my computer just sit and download for a day.

The new retopo tools are just NEX rebranded. It's very good for retopo but doesn't have all the tools of Topogun so it's not really a good replacement. You also have to rely on Maya's map generation for making normal maps and stuff, which is brutally slow compared to Topogun or Mudbox.

Have not used topogun. But the Nex tools in Maya seem to work as described and I have used them on several retopo projects. But note that I don't do any normal mapping in Maya. I do that in Zbrush or Mudbox. XNormal is another nice tool.
