Q: an easy one. Show wireframe on selected?

Hi, just for clarity, I want some objects to be displayed as wireframe.
I can for the entire scene but not in an individual way.
I am new to Maya, just learning.
thanks

if it's a mesh object,
1. just go into the shape node>Object Display>Drawing Overrides.
2. click on Enable Overrides
3. uncheck the Shading check box
