Isaac, Herman Leung (3D)

Title: Isaac
Name: Herman Leung
Country: Canada
Software: After Effects, mental ray, SOFTIMAGE|XSI, ZBrush

xsi was used to model the base mesh, & zbrush was used to sculpt as well as paint the textures.

i wasn't necessarily going for realism. there are a lot of problems with the facial structure, among other things (the chin being flat, the eyebags, etc), but i decided to stop because i really felt like i was starting to oversculpt it.

i won't ever revisit the model, but suggestions/critiques on the colour, composition, textures, shaders, anything really, are welcome.

the flatshaded model is a lot more interesting, although they don't look alike at all. you can see it here:

thanks for looking

Great stuff!
Reminds me a little of harvey keitel.
I love the skin quality and wrinkles. Nice over-exposed render too.

The character is awesome. I love the colours and the light.

Not sure about the hair though... It looks a bit off. And I would bend/wrinckle the collar just a little.

The face is so WONDERFUL and realistic that I think you really should spend a couple hours more on the clothes : they look too clean and CG. Your picture is really fabulous despite of that ! Five stars!
