Nokia 6610, Abdul Majid Movania (3D)

Title: Nokia 6610
Name: Abdul Majid Movania
Country: Pakistan
Software: 3d Studio Max

This Mobile was made using Polygonal Modelling in 3D Studio Max. Composited in Photoshop.
I used HDRI image as a environment reflection map. I used Default Scanline Renderer.
Rendering time is 44 secs. on a 720 x 576 resolution image.
Thanks
Abdul Majid Movania

Thanks "the rookie" for your comments.

Whenever using HDRI Images use it on objects rather than environment for more control.
Always use monochrome/grayscale images for reflections specially for chrome, because they don't effect the shading as much as the color once.
Try to play with tiling and mirroring also for achieving your desired results.
Also apply some blur onto your images for smooth reflections.
Hope these will be helpful tips for you using HDRI maps.

Thanks
Abdul Majid Movania

Thanks almunro for appreciating my work. I used a fallof map in diffuse map, I used cellular map in both of fallof slots.
I used fallof reflections with value 3 on the body with raytrace on the upper slot.
Its a phong material with 50 value for glosiness and 35 value for specular.
Also use some HDRI as I described in my previous post.
Hope U will find it helpful.

There is the update. Little bit of tweaking to the front plastic and some lighting to adjust the speculars on buttons.
