Anti-Aliasing in viewports?

Hi, i was wondering on your opinion of working with Maya with anti-aliasing on the graphics card enabled to try to smooth the jagged grid and edges of objects while modeling or if its just something that doesn't bother anyone besides me lol. At the moment i can't use my own computer to do some stress testing and comparison but i'd like to know if its a "no-no" or if it doesn't tax the gpu that much even with heavy scenes.

it's not just you

years ago I would tweak the AA setting via the Nvidia control panel. From memory it didn't slow Maya down although it could get a bit blurry.....

Viewport 2.0 has built-in AA for the viewports. You can set it to specific viewports and not tax your GPU much.

AA off doesn't bother me much. I would rather have speedy interaction. I would use it if I was using viewport 2.0 as a renderer though.
