Adjust multiple materials at once???

Hi all,
I have a city that is made of hundreds of materials. (low res, background city)
I also have some high res buildings in the foreground. My problem is my background city is getting way too over exposed. If I adjust any lighting or exposure controls, my Hi res buildings get too dark.

So is there a way to either adjust multiple materials at once, or overide a layer in some way so I can have control over exposures on objects.

BTW, I am using Max.
Thanks,
Lou

If you want control over multiple materials, you can try my parameterManager script:

But for your specific problem, you could setup two different lighting rigs, one for the background buildings, one for the foreground buildings (using exclude lists), then you can adjust each seperately.
