How Does This Rig Look?

Hi,

I'm looking to build a workstation to run Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, etc. and I would like any opinions on the components I've selected. Also, I don't play PC games, so that's not really a concern. (Note: My price range is around $2,500)

Processor: Intel i7 3770K Quad-Core @3.5 GHz
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
Primary Drive: OCZ 256 GB SSD
Secondary Drive: WD Blue 1 TB HDD
RAM: Corsair Platinum 16 GB 1866 MHz
Optical Drive: ASUS Blu-ray Writer
GPU: NVidia Quaddro 4000 2GB GDDR5
Sound Card: ASUS Xonar
PSU: OCZ ZX 1000 W (Is this too much power? I don't really know how taxing the Quaddro is.)
Case: Corsair Obsidian 550D
OS: Windows 8 64-bit (I don't mind the interface, but is all the software compatible?)

Please let me know your thoughts before I buy. Thank you for your time!

1000watts seems major over kill... The quadros are not hungry for power... that kind of power is more fitting for high end gaming systems with dual cards...650watt I do believe is around what you need but research this. get 32gb ram if you can.

everything else seems good... If in doubt ..stick with tried and proven like win 7
