Nuke7 Real 3D Depth of Field Blur

I am using Nuke 7 with a 3D scene with cached geometry etc.

I want to add real 3d depth blur to the 3d scene I have in nuke7.

Is there any way to do this?

If you have the 3D geometry in Nuke, then your scanline render should be kicking out a depth channel along with RGB. Try adding a ZDefocus node and set the depth channel to Depth.z. You should then be able to switch the Output to "focal plane setup" and use Focal Plane and Depth-of-Field settings to dial in the focus zone. Size and Maximum will control how much defocusing to do outside the focused area.

A little more to it than that, but that's the gist of it. Use the depth.z channel out of the Scanline Renderer with a ZDefocus node.
