vray in maya and 3ds max

does vray have the same menus in maya as they are in 3ds max? If i know how to use it in 3ds max will I be able to easy transfer techniques to mayas vray?

I don't know what max menu look like. But for the most part I can apply MAX Vray tutorial to Maya without much problem.

Yeah we use VRay for Max & Maya here, and you'll get by. A few things are done differently in Max, like for instance the guys here don't use the VRayMTLWrapper shading node although they have it. The do it in the object properties or something. But general render settings are identical for the most part.

Is a couple of cool things missing from Maya though like distance texture and glare render elements, but I suppose this is coming soon.
