WIP - Brad Pitt Caricature - would love to hear your thoughts

Hello everybody,

My name's Terry, 27 years old.
I've been looking around the forums for years but I never had the courage to actually join.
Well I finally got me some and here I am, in hopes to improve my skills and the sky's the limit

I've been working on this one for several hours, I hope it's recognizable.
This is one of my first attempts at drawing caricatures; I usually draw comic book or cartoon/anime/manga characters, and I decided recently it's time to expend my abilities to other territories

Done in Photoshop CS5 based loosely on a photo.
I would love to hear comments and critiques.
The thing I'm having trouble the most with is color but it all goes back to value/light as well.
I'll post a process image as well.

Thanks!

Great stuff, terry.

I got just about nothin'! As a simple sketch it's workin' great. Love the lines, the texture, the character, etc.

The only thing that jumped out was the space between the teeth. It looks green, like he never brushes them. I'd play around with them.

Good luck!

The technique/execution is good, but since this is a caricature, likeness is critical, and this doesn't really look like Brad Pitt; it actually looks more like Val Kilmer. Brad's eyes are a bit more melancholic, and the wings of his nose doesn't angle up that much. His chin is also more pointy, and his jawline more defined.
