If you read through the thread and go step by step and/or work from the attached scenes, it will work and you won't get any errors. I know this because I got it working by reading this thread.

It's been so long I don't have time right now to step through the scene. I just remember getting errors like the videos and it's because the setup/functions/linking wasn't correct.

It is working. Sort of.

Thanks for the encouragement.
I bypassed the problem with the cached.Position attribute. Not that precise via the lag of the particle position, but good enough in my case.
