Time Offsetting Cloned Xpresso Setup -How?

Hi guys,

I attached a spline's ends to two cylinders with Xpresso and animated the cylinders. Splines stretch to whatever distance the cylinders move. Now I cloned that and applied a Step Effector to Time Offset the animation of the cylinders. But the cloned splines still follow the timing of the original cylinders instead.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance!

please describe your problem properly. what is meant with "cloned 'that' ", what are
the settings in your step effector and so on. generally speaking c4d has sometimes
problems with cached deformed geometry and uses then the undeformed cache
instead.
