Point Sentinel, Christian Hecker (2D)

Title: Point Sentinel
Name: Christian Hecker
Country: Germany
Software: Photoshop, Vue

In the early days, when I started to understand that I may be able to create some really neat pictures, I had my sources for inspiration and motivation. Like everyone who is trying to get somewhere in a certain field I guess. There was and still is a guy I look up to. Even if we kinda lost contact. The guy I'm talking about is Gary Tonge. A long time ago he did a piece that I always wanted to pay homage to. That piece was 'Sentinel'. No detail where is doesn't need to be. Well and nice packaged. Simple and good. Yes, my version is very different. But still... the creative spark came from Gary Tonge's Sentinel.

Nice piece. I feel like the lens flares on the nearest two aircraft are a little distracting, but otherwise I like it a lot. It's certainly got a sense of scale.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoy the view. =) Yeah lensflares can easily be overdone... and maybe I have a little at the ship down there.
